Product description
The concept of this design is called "Beyond the throw-away society". This includes; the stimulation of consumers using responsible products to spare the environment. Herewith it’s very important not to point a finger at their responsibility towards the environment, but to stimulate them in an attractive way. Therefore the LAMP is meant as a free article provided when buying an energy-saving bulb. (Consumers will only pay for the pin-based lamp, fitting, the ballast/ plug, and the flex). At this way consumers get stimulated in a positive way buying energy-saving bulbs.

The design of the LAMP is quiet archetype so the consumer will experience the luminaire as a table lamp s well as a ceiling fixture. The armature is made of environmental-friendly paper. This paper naturally is cream-coloured. By using this paper the typical bright light of an energy-saving bulb is filtered in a more soft and gentle light. Consumers normally experience the bright light coming of the energy-saving bulb as cold and annoying. The LAMP should be seen as a sort of marketing-tool, to let people experience the qualities of these lamps, besides the fact that they save energy. Most of the time energy-saving is not enough motivation for consumers to buy a lamp which is much more expensive. The choice of using paper as the material for this armature is proper logical. It has very low production-costs which makes it possible to create "free" armature. Actually the luminaire fits in a design category below zero (Euro).
