Reflector incandescent lamps

Reflector incandescent lamps are standard tungsten lamps with a bulb having part of its interior or exterior surface coated to form a reflecting surface to enhance the light in particular directions. These fall into two broad categories: pressed glass PAR lamps and blown glass reflector lamps.

Performance: They generally have a short life and very low efficacy, similar to General Lighting Service lamps.
Applications: With recent advances in compact fluorescent and tungsten halogen lamps, the continued use of standard incandescent lamps is difficult to justify.
